DESCRIPTION

Established in 1991, Bwindi Impenetrable national park is located in south-western Uganda,in Kanungu district, at the junction of the plain and mountain forests. It covers 32,000 ha and is known for its exceptional biodiversity, with more than 160 species of trees and over 100 species of ferns.

This “impenetrable” forest is also home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, with about 459 individuals living in stable patriarchal family groups of around 10-15. These veggie giants feed on roots, leaves, and fruits from the park’s many tree and fern species.

ITINERARY

DAY 1

Transfer from Entebbe International airport to a Resort in either Entebbe or Kampala.Dinner and tucking in for the night(depending on time of arrival)

DAY 2

Journey(In comfortable safari van) to Bwindi Impenetrable national park in Kanungu district, and be transferred to either Buhoma,Rushaga or Bwindi Safari lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided.

you will get a chance to stop at the equator, take photos and experience the change frm the northern to the southern hemisphere.

DAY 3

After trekking, you will experience the much anticipated activity of Gorilla tracking, meeting the gentle giants in heir natural habitat is very rewarding.

you will return to your hotel, and meet some locals in their communities later in the evening.

DAY 4

Transfer back to Kampala for the night
