The Ssese Islands are an archipelago of eighty-four islands in the northwestern part of Lake Victoria in Uganda The islands are coterminous with the Kalangala District in southern Central Uganda, which does not have any territory on mainland Uganda.
The islands occupy the northwestern corner of Lake Victoria, the second-largest freshwater lake in the world. The largest island in the archipelago is called Bugala Island, which accounts for more than half the archipelago’s land area Its largest town, called Kalangala serves as the headquarters of the district that carries the same name (Kalangala District). Kalangala is located approximately 51 kilometres (32 mi), across water, southwest of Entebbe, in Wakiso District, on the Ugandan mainland The coordinates of the district are:0° 26′ 0.00″S, 32° 15′ 0.00″E (Latitude:-0.4333; Longitude:32.2500).
Kalangala, the main island is increasingly becoming a major destination for the holiday lovers in Uganda and East Africa in general.

Itinerary
DAY 1
We shall pick you from your hotel within Kampala or Entebbe at 11am in the morning, and transfer you to Nakiwogo dock, where we shall set off for Kalangala on one of the modern high speed boats that ply the Entebbe-Kalangala route at about 2pm.
we shall reach the island at about 4pm and check into either Brovad Sands lodge, or Victoria resort Hotel Kalangala .
We shall later have a walk around the resort and be back later for dinner and stories and tales around a bonfire.
DAY 2
After breakfast we shall have a nature walk and discover some historical siotes on the island like the ancient Stanley fort where the famous explorer onkce had a camp with his porters.
After lunch, you will be free to take an afternoon siesta or take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.
DAY 3
After breakfast, we shall set off to discover cultural and jeconomic sites on the island. You will meet the modest solar power plant that keeps the island lit and warm, you will encounterthe biggest Oil palm plantation in the country and probably participate in harvesting the precious fruits. you will also get chance to meet one of the worship cavhes of one of the prominent clans in the biggest tribal group in the country, Buganda.
DAY 4
Day 4 will be for relaxing in the morning, and setting off for Kampala in the afternoon.
